ABOUT ME
Hi, my name’s Emma and I am a qualified counsellor and FE/HE Counselling lecturer.
I work with clients from teens to adults, covering a wide range of issues. These include anxiety, depression and more complex mental health needs. I have a special interest and training in trauma and Complex-PTSD, Autism and childhood sexual abuse.
My approach is integrative. This means I draw upon Humanistic, Psychodynamic and CBT therapies, and I can tailor therapy to meet your needs. My approach is trauma-informed and identity affirming. I also work from a neuro-affirming stance and have lived experience that informs this. I welcome self-identification and self-diagnosis, as you know yourself best.
Deciding to undertake therapy can be a daunting process and I completely understand the nerves in reaching out to someone. I am more than happy to talk through your options via phone or email, even if it means I am not the right fit for you. I firmly believe that the right therapist is integral to your growth.
I’d love to help you find your new path. See how you can work with me.
